According to the Italian sculptor, “the purpose of art is to make people happy”. And we are delighted to be able to contribute to that.  On 30.06.2023 we will welcome world-renowned Jeremy Winston Chorale back to the Prague Proms stages. The celebrated choir are no strangers to the festival, having performed here in 2015, 2016, 2019 and now again in 2022.  On this occasion they will be singing at the Church of St Barbara’s Church in Kutná Hora bringing along gospels by M. Warren, R. Dillard, J. McAllister and others. The Jeremy Winston Chorale has carved itself a reputation as one of America’s leading professional choirs in a relatively short space of time and it’s not hard to see why. They picked up gold and silver medals at the World Choir Games gospel competition in Cinncinatti, however perhaps the biggest highlight of all was performing at the White House for President Barack Obama and the first lady of the United States in 2012 and again in 2015. The choir regularly travels to the largest cities around the USA including Washington DC, Philadelphia and Atlanta. They serve up an impressively wide-ranging repertoire spanning gospel, popular music as well as compositions by classical masters and African American spirituals.
