Aram Kersbergen
Aram Kersbergen was born in Delft in the Netherlands, in 1971. He studied the double bass under Koos Serierse and bass guitar under Pieter Douma at the Rotterdam Conservatoire. He graduated with distinction in 1996. He made a name for himself as the bass guitarist in the popular Dutch rock band Kane.
Since 2002 he has been a permanent member of the Metropole Orkest, which has performed with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheney, Al Jarreau, or Elvis Costello. Aram Kersbergen also works with the well-known Dutch singer Ilse DeLange, who placed second at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 with her band The Common Linnets. He has previously toured with the jazz singer Caro Emerald.
