Motown Records is not just a record label, but a cultural phenomenon that has made a profound impact on popular music, American society, and racial integration. Founded in Detroit in 1959 by visionary Berry Gordy Jr., it became a symbol of the “sound of young America”, producing hit after hit. It also played a key role in the careers of black artists and in the fight for their mainstream recognition. We invite you to come and listen to songs that crossed racial barriers and captivated the world, performed by The Loop Jazz Orchestra and outstanding American singers at The Loop Jazz Club in Hostivař.
