Mnozil Brass

Mnozil Brass

Municipal House, Smetana Hall,

The ensemble Mnozil Brass ranks among the most popular musical guests of the Prague Proms festival, consistently winning over audiences with their energy, virtuosity, and distinctive sense of humor. In their program Strau$$, the ensemble pays tribute to the “King of Waltz,” Johann Strauss, while seamlessly blending his musical legacy with their own genre-spanning aesthetic.

Founded in 1992, the ensemble has gained international recognition thanks to its unique fusion of musical styles. This is far beyond traditional brass music – Mnozil Brass offers a diverse musical set ranging from classical and jazz to pop and world music. Alongside traditional brass instruments, the group also employs less conventional ones, including specially modified flutes and bass pipes, which contribute to their distinct sound.

For more than thirty years, the seven virtuosos have playfully bridged musical worlds – from Johann Strauss and Frank Sinatra to Prince and Queen. Their performances are full of wit, theatricality, and lively interaction with the audience, turning each concert into a truly unique experience.
